Clinical Expertise and Special Interests
Dr. Dana Defta is a neurological surgeon who provides comprehensive care for patients with complex brain, spine and neurovascular conditions. She has specialized training in both surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques, allowing her to offer advanced treatment for intracranial aneurysms and vascular malformations of the brain and spine. Her clinical interests also include surgery for skull base tumors and neurological cancers.
Dr. Defta believes every patient brings different priorities, goals and expectations to their care. She takes an individualized approach, combining evidence-based treatment recommendations with each patient’s unique needs. When surgery is necessary, her focus is on restoring function while minimizing the burden of recovery whenever possible.
